How to Restore a PS3

The PlayStation 3 gaming console can fall victim to any number of issues that require a system restore. Restoring the system will clear all of the files stored on the system̵7;s hard drive and restore settings to factory defaults, allowing you to return your PS3 to its original condition. This is especially useful if you are selling your console or if you have experienced a software bug that needs to be corrected.

     Navigate to the ̶0;Settings̶1; tab on your PS3 and select ̶0;System Settings.̶1;

     Move down the list and select ̶0;Restore PS3 System.̶1;

     Select the drive that you want to restore, which will be the system's onboard hard drive.

     Confirm that you wish to restore and that you are aware that the hard drive will be cleared.

     Restart your PS3 system when the process finishes.
