How to Link a PS3 and a PSP

If you have a PlayStation 3 and a PlayStation Portable, it is possible to link them together to share content between the two devices. You will be able to share music, videos and pictures from your PS3 to your PSP over the Internet as well as play PS One games inserted to your PS3 on your PSP.

Instructions

      Plug your PSP into your PS3 with the PSP's USB cable.

      Put your PSP into USB mode by selecting "USB Connection" from the "Settings" tab in the PSP's menu.

      Navigate to the "Settings" tab on your PS3 and select "Remote Play."

      Select "Register Device."

      Select your PSP and then select "OK" to continue. The two devices will pair with each other.

      Navigate to the "Network" tab on your PSP and select "Remote Play."

      Select "Via Internet" to connect to your PS3 over your Internet connection. You will then have access to your PS3's Xross Menu Bar wireless from your PSP.
