How to Delete the Typing History on a PS3

The PlayStation 3 uses a feature called Predictive Text Dictionary, which records all of the words typed by the gamer while operating the PS3, such as when he uses the Web browser. Sometimes the Predictive Text Dictionary can become overrun by too many terms and links, which can subsequently create a lot of clutter on the screen when you try to type. Or the user just might want to delete the typing history for privacy reasons. Whatever the case, PS3 owners can delete the Predictive Text Dictionary at any time.

     Power on the PS3 and access the cross-menu bar (XMB) by pressing the PlayStation button on the controller in the center of the of the button layout.

     Scroll left or right to locate the "Settings" section of the XMB.

     Scroll down to select "System Settings."

     Go to "Delete Predictive Text Dictionary."

     Confirm the deletion on the resulting prompt.
