How to Play Playstation 2 Games on a Playstation 3 Console

The original PS3 systems that were released (60GB and 20GB) and some of the later-released 80GB systems were fully backwards compatible. This means that they were able to play PS2 games. Sony stopped creating backwards compatible PS3 systems and created PS3s without backwards compatibility and larger hard drives. Because the backwards compatible PS3 systems are no longer in production, they are hard to find and can cost a lot of money. However, if you are lucky enough to own one of the original systems, it will take some concentration and patience before you are able to play your PS2 games.
