While there may be issues with the wiring in the actual unit, many users fail to understand the basic theory behind what makes the power supply work. There are some very simple steps that you can follow in order to get your power supply running again.

  Unplug the power supply from any surge protectors that you are using. Plug the AC adapter directly into the wall outlet in your home.

  Make sure the AC adapter is completely plugged into the back of the Xbox 360 console. Check the wall outlet to make sure that the power supply is not loose.

  Unplug the Xbox 360 AC adapter from the back of the console. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet. Find a different wall outlet to use with the console. Plug the AC adapter into the wall outlet. Turn on your Xbox 360 console.

  Unplug the Xbox 360 AC adapter from the back of your Xbox 360 console and then unplug the power cord from the wall outlet in your home.

  Reconnect the power supply to the Xbox 360 console after the two-hour period and then connect the power cord to your wall outlet. Turn on the Xbox 360.

  Get a power supply from a friend or use a different AC adapter that you have lying around the house. Try it out with your console to see if the AC adapter is really the issue or it your console is the issue.
