How to Send a Text Message to a Cell Phone From the PSP

The Sony Playstation has had the ability to connect and browse the Internet since version 2.0 but it was not until the release of the PS3 that players had the ability to acccess the Internet and easily send a text message from a PSP. Your PSP allows you to access your email service from which you can send and receive text messages easily. You will need to purchase a memory card for your PSP to do this as the cached internal memory of the PSP is not large enough to handle the requirements of an email service.

Instructions

    • 1

Install your 1G memory card into your PSP and turn the device on. Wait for the PSP to "recognize" the memory card and show the screen that it is now ready for use.

    • 2

Follow the instructions in your PSP manual to connect to the Internet. If this is the first time you have used the PSP web browser you will have to install it onto the device. If it is already installed just click on the icon to open the browser. Your PSP will either have to be connected to a router or, you must be able to access a Wi-Fi hotspot to connect.

      Log into your email service.

    • 4

Select "Compose New Message" or the equivalent from your email service menu.
