How to Use a Bluetooth Headset for Metal Gear Solid 4

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and its online component, Metal Gear Online, allow you to take the Metal Gear experience online in various modes of multiplayer skirmishes. If you have a Bluetooth headset, you can connect it to your PS3 and chat in real time with your teammates to give you an upper hand on the battlefield.

Instructions

    • 1

Power on your PS3 and select "Accessory Settings" from the "Settings" tab in the "Xross Media Bar."

    • 2

Select the "Manage Bluetooth Devices" and press "X" to confirm that you wish to register a new Bluetooth device.

    • 3

Put your Bluetooth headset in "pair" mode. This varies for every Bluetooth device, so refer to your headset's manual for the proper process.

    • 4

Select the option to "Start Scanning" on your PS3 to scan for compatible Bluetooth devices within range. Your PS3 will automatically pick up a signal from your Bluetooth headset.

    • 5

Enter your Bluetooth device's passkey, if you are prompted to. This will be found in your Bluetooth device's manual.

    • 6

Press "Circle" to return to the main menu once the syncing process is complete.

    • 7

Navigate to the "Audio Devices Setting" under the "Accessory Settings" option in the "Settings" tab of the "Xross Media Bar."

    • 8

Select "Input Device" and select the Bluetooth headset as your microphone. The same device will automatically be changed to the "Output Device" as well so you can hear other players.

    • 9

Start up "Metal Gear Solid 4" and go to the "Metal Gear Online" section.

    • 10

Start a multiplayer game. Once you connect to a lobby with other players, you will be able to chat with them through the Bluetooth headset. Use coordinated team tactics while playing to have an advantage over other players.
