Make sure you have wireless Internet set up where you want to play the PS3. Also, make sure there is no Ethernet cable connected to your PS3.
Turn on your PS3 and click on the ̶0;Settings̶1; option by pressing the ̶0;X̶1; button. Select the ̶0;Network Settings̶1; option.
Select the ̶0;Internet Connection Settings̶1; option and then click on the ̶0;Yes̶1; option from the confirmation screen. Click on the ̶0;Easy̶1; option and then click on the ̶0;Wireless̶1; option.
Click on the ̶0;Scan̶1; option to see a list of access points. Select the wireless access point you want to use and check that the service set identifier (SSID) for your wireless Internet is correct.
Select the security setting your wireless access point uses and then enter the encryption key to gain access to the Internet. Click on the ̶0;Save̶1; option to save your settings.
Click on the ̶0;Test Connection̶1; option to test the wireless connection. Go back to the main menu and click on the ̶0;Network̶1; option to enter the online web browser. You can also play any games online that feature online gameplay.
