How to Connect a PS3 to a Digital Converter Box

The Sony PlayStation 3 requires at least an RCA cable connection if you want to connect the system to your TV. However, if your TV does not have an RCA connection and uses a simple coaxial cable connection, you can use a digital converter box to take the RCA cable connection from the PS3 and convert it to the single coaxial cable. Although the graphics are not going to be as clear as you find on a high definition television, you can still play all the same games.

• RCA cables
• Digital converter box
• Coaxial cable

     Connect the RCA cable into the single RCA plug on the back of the Sony PlayStation 3 (the cable splits off into the three cables).

     Insert the RCA cables into the "Video In" port on the back of the digital converter box.

     Plug the coaxial cable into the "Out" port on the converter box, then insert the opposite end of the cable into the "In" port on the TV.

   • 4

     Power on the television and set it to channel "3." You can now begin playing your Sony PS3
