How to Pick Pocket Throwing Knives in Assassin's Creed

In the popular video game, "Assassin's Creed," players take control of Altair, an assassin during the Crusades Era. Altair has five main weapons at his disposal: his fists, a blade hidden up his sleeve, a long sword, a short sword, and throwing knives. Throwing knives are disposable; once you throw Altair's inventory of knives, you must obtain new ones. One way to do this is to pickpocket thugs that are walking the streets.

Instructions

    • 1

Roam the streets of a city and look for thugs. Thugs are easy to spot: they typically wear green, hooded clothing with a sash around their chest that has knives on it. As they walk, they often clasp their hands together in prayer.

    • 2

Lock on to the thug. Playstation 3 users must press L1 to lock on; Xbox 360 users press the left trigger button. PC players press "F". Once locked on, walk a few paces behind the thug; be careful not to be seen.

    • 3

Stay behind the thug and press and hold the "free hand" button. On Playstation 3, the button is the "O" button; for Xbox 360 it is the "B" button. PC users press "shift.". Notice Altair's hand as it reaches for the thug's pocket. Keep walking behind the thug and holding the free hand button down until Altair finishes his movement (he will snatch the knives and then turn around). A message will display indicating that you successfully pick-pocketed the knives.
