How to Set Up Remote Play on PS3

Remote Play is a feature of the PlayStation 3 that allows you to play select PS3 games on a handheld PSP device. Although there are only a handful of games that support this feature, if you want to take these games on the go, enabling remote play an essential feature. Setting up remote play for the first time is a very simple process and only takes a few minutes.

      Pair your PlayStation 3 with your PS3. Power on both devices, and then, on the PS3 navigate to the "Settings" menu, and then select "Remote Play Settings". Then select "Register Device" once your PSP has been registered, a notification will pop up.

      Go back to the "Remote Play Settings" menu and then change the "Remote Start" setting to "On".

      Go back to your PSP and go to the "Network" section and select "Remote Play." Then select "Connect via Internet."

      Enter your PlayStation Network log-in information. The screen will flash and then you will see your PS3's screen on the PSP's screen. To end a remote play session, press the "Home" button on the PSP.
