How to Use the Cell Phone in GTA IV

On the PlayStation 3

  Insert GTA IV in your PlayStation 3 game console and begin a new game by pressing the "Start" button on the main menu screen. Wait until all of the cutscenes have finished and you have access to your character in the game.

  Press up on the directional pad two times. The first time your game character will remove the cell phone from his pocket and place it to his ear. The second time a cellular phone keypad will appear at the bottom of the screen.

  Navigate across the keys by using the directional pad on your game controller. Doing this will allow you to highlight the various numbers and symbols available on the keypad.

  Press the "Send" button on the keypad to dial the number once you have entered it on the phone. When you are finished with the phone, press the circle button on the right side of your controller to hang up the phone and put it back in your pocket.

On the Xbox 360

  Enter the GTA IV game disc in your Xbox 360 and choose "Start" from the main menu to begin a new game. Wait until you have control of your character in the game.

  Press up on the directional pad twice to remove the phone and bring up the keypad display in the lower corner of the game screen.

  Use the control pad on your game controller to scroll through the keys and enter the number you wish to dial. Press "Send" when you are ready to dial the number and then press the "B" button to hang up when finished.
