How to Use Saved Files From a Computer to a PS3

The Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) is compatible with all of the common types of media files that are used on a computer. You can transfer a media file that has been saved on the computer to the PS3's hard drive using a common USB (Universal Serial Bus) flash drive or a memory stick, both of which have connection slots on the PS3. Transferring a media file from the computer to the PS3 can be done in as little as 10 minutes, depending upon how many saved media files are to be put on the PS3. The transfer process will not damage the files, the computer or the PS3 in any way.
