How to Fix Power Cable on PS3 Disc Drive Case

The PlayStation 3 consists of many electronic parts working together to provide a sophisticated gaming experience. While there are many problems that can beset the PS3 and cause it to not work correctly, having a nonfunctioning Blu-ray disc drive means that no games can be played or movies watched. Opening up the PS3 will let you see if the power cable has become dislodged from the Blu-ray disc drive. You will be able to clean and reattach the power cable and start using the Blu-ray drive again because no electronic skill is required. However, opening the PS3 is a very time-intensive task.

  • Phillips-head jeweler's screwdriver
