How to Transfer PS2 Game Saves to a PS3

The first PlayStation 3 consoles that came out were backwards compatible. This means that they are able to play PlayStation 2 games. When Sony started making PS3s with larger hard drives, Sony removed the backwards compatibility of the systems. Only the 60 gigabyte and some of the 80 gigabyte PS3s are able to play PS2 games. If you are using a backwards-compatible PS3, you can use a memory adapter to transfer your PS2 save games onto your PS3 hard drive.
