How to Put Music From an iPod Onto a PS3

One of the biggest features of the PlayStation 3 game console is its ability to play back digital music files. However, getting these files to your PlayStation by using individual CDs can be a hassle. If you have your music collection on an iPod, copying your music files to your PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a relatively easy process.

  Connect your iPod to your PlayStation 3 by plugging the long end of the sync cable that was bundled with your iPod into the bottom of the iPod, and plugging the USB end into one of your PS3's data ports.

  Press the triangle button to display the contents of the iPod once your PS3 recognizes your iPod, ignoring the error message saying that the file structure is invalid.

  Highlight the files you want on your PS3 and press the triangle button to copy them onto your PS3's hard drive. Once you have finished copying the files, disconnect your iPod by unplugging it.
