Download and install MotioninJoy from the Resource section of this guide. The software will allow your PC̵7;s Bluetooth adapter to recognize the PS3 controller to be used in gaming on the computer. Restart your computer and continue to press the "F8" button until you get to a screen with white text. The screen will be titled "Advanced Boot Options." Press your computer̵7;s down arrow until you get to ̶0;Disable Driver Signature Enforcement̶1; and press the ̶0;Enter̶1; button.
Plug your PS3 controller into your computer using its USB cable. This cable came with the controller and fits one end into your PS3 controller and the other into your computer. Allow your computer to install the drivers for the controller, and you will see the four access lights on the PS3 controller light up.
Click the ̶0;Start̶1; button and ̶0;All Programs.̶1; Click the ̶0;MotioninJoy̶1; folder and right-click either ̶0;Install USB Driver̶1; or ̶0;Install Bluetooth Driver,̶1; depending on which way you plan using the controller. If you are using the Bluetooth adapter, make sure it is plugged in if it is not built into the computer already. After right-clicking one of them, click ̶0;Run as Administrator.̶1; The driver will install. Restart Windows once more after the install completes. Press "F8" again when restarting and disable "Driver Signature Enforcement" again.
Plug your controller into your computer and press the center PS button to connect your controller to your computer to be used as a Windows gaming device.
