How to Change Your PS3 ID Name

One of the features of Sony's PlayStation 3 (PS3) game console is its ability to store multiple gamer profiles on a single system. These profiles allow gamers to "customize" the PS3 with their preferences.

Instructions

      Turn your PS3 on and log on to the profile with the name you want to change.

      Scroll to the "Users" section in the main menu (on the far left) and find your profile.

      Press the triangle button on your controller to bring up a user menu.

      Select the "Information" option in the user menu.

    • 5

      Select your profile name at the information screen. A text entry screen will appear that allows you to change the profile name.
