Things You'll Need
Instructions
Connect your PlayStation console to the TV using the included cables. Plug the power cable into the power port, and into the wall. Plug the included video cable into the "Video Out" port on the console and the RCA ports on the back of the TV.
Check your Comcast Internet connection. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet. If you are having problems with your Comcast Internet connection, contact the company or troubleshoot the problem (see Resources below).
Power on the PS3 console, and press the circular "PS" button on your controller to connect it to the system.
Navigate to the "System Settings" menu using the left analog stick or directional pad, and choose "Network Settings."
Scroll to "Internet Connection" and set it to "Enabled."
Go to "Internet Connection Settings" and press the "X" button on your controller.
Select "Yes" to confirm that your console will temporarily disconnect from the Internet. Select "Easy" when prompted, so that the system sets the Internet up itself.
Choose "Wired" or "Wireless" depending on the type of connection you're using, and press "X." If you are using a wired connection, skip to Step 11.
Select "Scan" to bring up a list of Wireless Access Points, and choose the one that your Comcast Internet broadcasts through. This should be the same as the access point your computer connects to.
Confirm the SSID, or name of Access point, and press the right directional button. Choose the corresponding security, type in the access code or password for the router, then press the right directional button.
Press "X" to save the connection settings, and press "X" to test the Comcast connection when prompted. If the connection is a success, you will receive a prompt notification; if there is an issue, try to troubleshoot the problem (see Resources below).
