How to Open the PS3 System Front

The PlayStation 3, commonly referred to as the PS3, is Sony̵7;s premier gaming console capable of high definition gaming, Blu-ray playback and accessing the Internet. You also can customize the look of the PS3 main menu, termed the XMB by Sony. One of the ways you can do this is by opening the XMB and accessing the system font menu. From there, you can change the font style to suit your preferences.

  Turn on your PS3 and access the XMB by pressing the PlayStation button on your controller, located in the center of the controller between the control sticks. Once you press the button, your game will pause and load the XMB interface.

  Scroll left or right using the left thumb stick to highlight ̶0;Settings.̶1; This is the second option from the left.

  Press down on the left thumb stick until you highlight ̶0;Theme Settings.̶1; Press the ̶0;X̶1; button to open another set of options related to changing the theme of your PS3 interface.

  Highlight ̶0;Font̶1; using the left thumb stick to scroll down to the option. Press ̶0;X̶1; to open the system font. From here, you can scroll through the fonts and select your preferred system font.
