Putting Music From iPod on PS3
Connect your iPod to your personal computer (PC) using the USB cable that came with your iPod. After a few moments your computer will recognize it as a removable memory disk. If it does not appear, you will have to open iTunes and check the "Enable Disk Use" box under "Devices > iPod."
Open "My Computer" and double-click the iPod icon to open a new window showing your iPod folders.
Create a new folder and name it "MUSIC." Be sure to name it with all capital letters and without quotations.
Enter your "iTunes Directory" on your PC and copy all of your music folders. You can do this by clicking and dragging a box that encompasses every folder, then right-clicking and selecting "Copy."
Paste all of the copied folders into the "MUSIC" folder on your iPod. This process may take several minutes, depending on the number of files being copied.
Unplug the iPod from your PC and connect it to the PS3 using the USB ports on the front.
Power on your PlayStation 3 and let it boot to the XMB (the Cross Media Bar). Once booted, navigate to the "Music" option and select the iPod option. The icon should appear at the top of the list, though you may have to scroll down to find it.
Navigate through the folders that appear until you find the "MUSIC" folder you've created. Highlight the "MUSIC" folder and press the "Triangle" button, selecting "Copy" from the list of options. This will copy your music files to your PS3, allowing them to be played straight from the hard drive.
