How to Find Out How Much Free Space Is on a PS3

The PlayStation 3 is a popular multimedia device that can be an important part of any home theater system. The PS3 stores videos, music and pictures on its hard drive, and of course is a superb game-playing platform. However, each system comes with a finite amount of space, and as a PS3 console user, you may find yourself often running out of space as you add files to the console's hard drive. Fortunately, it is simple to find out how much free space is currently left on your PS3's hard drive, and to delete those you don't need.

     Turn on your PS3 and PS3 controller.

     Choose the correct profile and sign in.

     Navigate to the "Settings" menu on your Cross Media Bar.

     Scroll down to the "System Settings" option and select it by pressing the "X" button.

     Scroll to "System Information" and press the "X" button to select it. The amount of free space available can be seen at the bottom of the screen.
