How to Download Music From PS3 to PC

The PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a device that allows users to play video games, as well as perform various media-related functions. This console is capable of playing videos, DVDs and Blu-ray discs, as well as music files. All of these media files can be stored on the PS3 thanks to its large hard drive, and the files can be accessed by navigating through the device, via the Cross Media Bar. In addition, there are USB ports that allow PS3 users to download files directly from their PS3 hard drives to any USB storage device that allows it.

Instructions

      Turn on your PS3 and your computer.

      Connect your USB storage device to the console using one of the front USB slots.

      Navigate to the "Music" menu on your Cross Media Bar.

      Scroll through the Music menu until you locate the music file you wish to download to your PC.

      Press the triangle button on your controller to bring up the "Options" menu.

      Scroll to the "Copy" option and press the"X" button on your controller.

      Choose the USB device that you connected in step 2 and press the "X" button.

      Disconnect the USB device once all music files have been downloaded. Note: When you download the music files to your USB device from the PS3, it will create a folder called "MUSIC."

      Connect the USB device to your computer.

      Navigate to your USB device by double-clicking on "My Computer."

      Open the folder titled "MUSIC."

      Right-click on the music files you downloaded and select "Copy."

      Open the folder location that you wish to copy the music files to.

      Right-click on an empty space and select "Paste."
