How to Change the Icons on the XMB on the PS3

The XMB (or Cross Media bar) is the way you navigate through your PlayStation 3. The icons inform you of what category you are hovering over, and with a few clicks, you can change your icons to something else. Also, custom icons, themes and wallpaper are available all over the Internet and can be added to your PS3. The PlayStation network also has dozens of themes to download (some for free, some for pay) and manage with ease.

Instructions

Turn on and change

  Turn on your PlayStation 3, either with the power button or the PS button on your controller.

  Move all the way over to the second to last column, entitled "Settings."

  Scroll down to "Theme Settings" and hit "X."

  Press "X" on theme and from there, move up and down to choose what theme you want to pick.

  Press "X" on the desired theme, and then watch and enjoy your XMB icons change from their previous state to the new theme you've chosen.
