How to Use a Duo Pro With PS3

The Sony Playstation 3 originally came equipped with a memory card slot that could read a Duo Pro memory storage card. Subsequent generations of the PS3 no longer have this hardware built in. To use a Duo Pro memory storage card with the new PS3s requires a memory card reader device. These devices, which can be purchased from video game stores and electronic shops, will automatically integrate with the PS3 once they have been attached to an open USB slot.

Place the memory card reader device next to the PS3 game console. Insert one end of the USB connector cable into the memory card reader device and the other into the USB slot on the front bottom section of the PS3.

    • 2

Insert a Duo Pro memory card into the Duo Pro slot on the memory card reader device. The memory card must be firmly seated in the slot.

    • 3

Turn on the PS3. Wait for the home menu to appear and then use the video controller to navigate to the video, music or photo tab depending on what's on the memory card.

Quit the PS3 when you are finished. Remove the USB connector from the PS3 and from the USB memory card reader. Remove the memory card from the memory card reader.
