How to Program a Bluetooth DVD Remote Control for PS3

The Sony PlayStation 3 uses Bluetooth technology for the gaming system's wireless controllers and DVD/Blu-ray (BD) Disc Remote Control remote communication. Out of the box, the PS3's default settings do not allow for immediate Bluetooth connectivity; therefore, there are specific programming functions that must occur on both the Bluetooth remote and in the settings of the PS3. If you do not take these initial steps, then your Bluetooth remote will not communicate with your PS3 system.
