Before you start to download Linux to your Plasystation3 you will want to back up all of your previously stored or saved data. Then check the memory capacity of your hard drive to make sure you have enough memory for the new operating system.
The first thing you will want to do is save your existing files. You will want to back up all of your current saved data. This way if you have any problems with the installation you will have a copy of your previously stored or saved data.
Do a simple search on a search engine like Bing, Yahoo, or Google to find these components and download them for free. You need to find and download PS3 Linux Addon to a CD. Then find and download Fedora Core 5 to a DVD. Burn both of these at slow speeds.
There are two ways to go here that depend on how computer savvy you are. Doing it yourself is free but it can be complicated if you do not have much experience with computers.
