Call of Duty 3 System Requirements

Call of Duty 3 does a good job of expanding on the series' trademark--lots of explosions. Scenarios range from close-quarters combat to large open fields. While the core of the game remains the same, the experience will vary depending on the console you're using. In the case of the PC user, there can be no experience at all, as the game has not been released in a PC format.
  1. No PC Release

    • As of 2009, Call of Duty 3 has not been released for the PC format. For this reason, Call of Duty 3 is considered the odd man of the franchise. It is the only COD game released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii.

    Multiplayer Classes

    • Moving away from the traditional Call of Duty system multiplayer system, COD3 introduced the class-based system that is still being used. This gives players more input over the direction of their character.

    Wii Version

    • Because of the limited functionality of the Wii remote, some might find it easier to use the Classic Controller instead of the default configuration.

    Single Player

    • The single-player campaign is regarded as one of the weakest in the series, largely because of its average completion time of four hours.

    Wii Hardware

    • Unlike other versions, the Wii version experiences considerable slowdown during more intense scenes in the game.

    PS3 Keyboard

    • The PS3 version supports a keyboard configuration as well as the standard controller configuration.
