How to Acquire Vincent in Final Fantasy 7

An enigmatic man who has a deep connection to the story and can illuminate many of the mysteries of Final Fantasy 7, Vincent is a hidden character who can only be acquired if you solve a riddle in the city of Nibelheim. Vincent has several powerful transformation attacks that make him a great addition to the party.

Instructions

  Play through the game until the party reaches the town called Nibelheim, where both Cloud and Tifa come from.

  Head up to the large mansion in Nibelheim and go inside. In one of the rooms you will find a safe. Examine the safe and enter the combination Right 36, Left 10, Right 59, and then finally Right 97. There are clues scattered throughout the mansion that will also give the combination if you want to find them.

  Fight the monster that pops out of the safe when you open it. After the battle, take the key that's lying in the open safe, then go downstairs.

  Open the door in the wall of the basement using the key from the safe. Approach the coffin in the center of the room and examine it. Vincent will wake up and briefly speak with the party.

  Answer Vincent's questions, then leave the room. As you are exiting, he will follow you and join the group as a playable character.
