How to Manage Your PlayStation Memory Card

Your PlayStation's memory card is a limited resource. Once you've used up all the memory blocks, you're out of luck if you need to make that crucial in-game save. Here's how to make sure that will never happen to you.

Instructions

    • 1

      Turn your PlayStation off.

    • 2

      Remove any game from the tray.

    • 3

      Plug a controller into controller slot one.

    • 4

      Plug a memory card into memory card slot one.

    • 5

      Turn your PlayStation on.

    • 6

      Select the Memory Card option when the menu appears. This will bring you to a screen that will feature numerous blocks of game memory.

    • 7

      Select the Delete command to delete a block of memory that you are no longer using.

    • 8

      Select the Copy command to copy a single block of memory from a memory card in the second memory card slot.

    • 9

      Select the Copy All command to copy the entire memory card in memory card slot two to the memory card in slot one.

    • 10

      Select the Exit command to exit this screen and return to the main menu.
