How to Change the BPM in MTV Music Generator for the PlayStation

"MTV Music Generator" for the Playstation allows you to mix your own music tracks from a number of preloaded music samples. You control many different aspects of the tracks in this game. One of the attributes that you can change while editing a track is the beats per minute. This attribute speeds up or slows down the overall speed of the track. You can edit this at any time to directly influence the music's tempo.

  Open a track that you want to change in "MTV Music Generator."

  Use the directional pad on the controller to move your cursor onto the track editing area in the middle of the game screen.

  Press the right shoulder button on your controller to select the beats per minute box. Once the box is selected, press "Up" on the directional pad to increase the beats per minute. Press "Down" to reduce the beats per minute. Changing the BPM of a song can drastically affect the sound and mood of the song. You can change dance tunes to ballads and vice versa by adjusting your BPM settings.
