How to Use the Controller on the EPSXe Emulator

Over the years, computer programmers have successfully created a variety of console emulators for Microsoft Windows. EPSXe is among these projects, allowing you to play your originally purchased PlayStation video games, as well as others developed for free over the Internet. EPSXe supports numerous input devices, including controllers and joysticks, thus allowing you to play any given content with ease.

      Connect your primary controller to your computer. If a device driver installation is required, consult its user manual for specific instructions. Generally, however, you are only required to insert its installation disc and follow the instructions presented on the screen.

      Launch the ePSXe emulator; click the ̶0;Config̶1; menu, followed by ̶0;Game Pad.̶1; Select the controller port you wish to configure, such as port 1 or port 2.

      Click the on-screen button you wish to configure, and then press the controller button you wish to associate with it. For example, click the "X" button shown on the screen, followed by the physical controller button you wish to assign to it.

      Click ̶0;OK̶1; to save the new controller settings.
