How to Play ROM on ePSXe

If you have old PlayStation games, you can play them on your computer with ePSXe, a program designed to emulate the PlayStation. PlayStation games in the emulator run in two primary categories: CD-ROM -- shortened to ROM -- and ISO. CD-ROM files are the actual game disc, and ISO files are disc images on the hard drive that were ripped from the disc. You can play these games in either format.

Instructions

  1. CD-ROM

    • 1

Insert the PlayStation CD-ROM into your computer's disc drive.

    • 2

      Open ePSXe and click "File."

    • 3

Click "Run CD-ROM." The game you inserted runs.

    ISO

    • 4

      Open ePSXe.

    • 5

      Click "Run ISO."

    • 6

Navigate to the location of your ISO file. You can run files in ISO, BIN and CUE format. Click the file to load it.
