How to Run ePSXe Faster

ePSXe is a PlayStation emulator used for playing games on your computer that are in an ISO format. An emulator allows you to go back to the classic days of PlayStation 1, but requires you to have a computer capable of processing the information to run effectively. If you experience problems while running ePSXe, you need to modify your settings to create an optimal gaming environment, which will eliminate or reduce skipping.

Instructions

    • 1

Download the plugins necessary to run ePSXe.

    • 2

Place the plugins recently downloaded in the plugins directory of your ePSXe folder.

    • 3

Select the "Config" option in the top menu, then select "Video."

    • 4

Choose either the "P.E.Op. S. Soft" driver from the drop-down menu if your computer is slower, or the "Pete's OpenGL" driver if your system is quite new. Select "Configure."

    • 5

Choose the "Fast" option in the corner of the newly opened window, which will automatically set the optimal settings for making your video run faster. Click "OK."
