How to Change Dimensions in Chrono Cross

"Chrono Cross," the direct sequel to the hugely successful "Chrono Trigger," maintains a number of gameplay elements that were present in its predecessor. One such element is the ability to switch between different dimensions. Unlike in "Chrono Trigger," however, this dimension switching is carried out by using a special amulet in a certain location rather than by using a time machine. Once you have the Astral Amulet, you can change dimensions anytime you are on Opassa Beach.

     Dock your boat at Termina and walk to the peninsula located at the bottom left portion of the island.

     Press the "X" button when "Opassa Beach" appears on the screen to enter the area.

     Run out onto the beach and press the "Square" button to bring up your Key Item Menu.

   • 4

     Highlight the "Astral Amulet" option and press the "X" button to use the item and change dimensions.
