How to Get the Limit Glove in Final Fantasy IX

With the power of the Limit Glove spell, enemies will literally fall right into your hands. This blue magic spell from the PlayStation game "Final Fantasy IX" allows your blue mage, Quina Quen, to deal 9,999 points of damage to a single enemy. It's especially useful for defeating bosses, and it only costs 10 magic points to use. The catch is that Quina may only cast it if her hitpoints are at exactly "1." To obtain this spell, you'll need to have Quina eat a Mandragora, Mu, Axe Beak, Blazer Beetle or Jabberwock in the middle of a battle. This can only be accomplished when the specific beast's hit points are below one-eighth his max.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel to either the Alexandria Plateau, the Chocobo Forest by King Ed Plains, the Edgecry Coast on the Mist Continent or the forests along the Bentini Heights. Scour the area until a Mandragora attacks you. The Mandragora is quite powerful, so you'll need to have your stronger characters attack while your weaker characters heal. Make certain you stop after you've drained seven-eighths of its hitpoints, or otherwise you'll accidentally kill it before Quina can eat it.

    • 2

Walk around the Gunitas Basin on the Mist Content until you encounter a Mu. This is an extremely low-HP enemy incapable of inflicting fatal damage to your party. Therefore, have your warriors sit back while your weaker characters attack it. Once its hit points are low enough, direct Quina to eat it.

    • 3

Look for an Axe Beak in the Alexandra Plateau, the Daines-horse Basin or the Lindblum Plateau areas in the Mist Continent. This beast doesn't have many hit points, but it does have the Thundera spell in its book of tricks, which means it can inflict a lot of damage on your party. Direct your stronger characters to heal while your weaker casters attack. Don't forget to have Quina eat it.

    • 4

Pick a fight with a Blazer Beetle if you have an extremely strong party. Located in the Banyono Shores and Pualei Plains areas, this beast can quickly inflict large amounts of damage on your party. In addition, it has a tremendous deal of hit points. You'll need to have your stronger characters attack while your weaker characters heal. It may take a while to reduce its hit points so that they are low enough for Quina can eat it.

    • 5

Find the Jabberwock in the Blairsupass Plains. It's located on the Forgotten Continent. The Jabberwock has more hit points than a Blazer Beetle but a weaker attack, so have your stronger characters attack while your weaker ones heal the party. Be patient, as it can take several minutes to weaken the Jabberwock enough so that Quina can eat it.
