Cheats for Colin McRae Rally on the PSX

The Sony PlayStation game "Colin McRae Rally" allows you to compete in European-style rally racing. "Colin McRae Rally" features a few cheats that will help you advance in the game. Other cheats for this game add some funny effects to the action. To activate these cheats, enter the following passwords as your name in the "Enter Name" screen that appears before the game's rally or time-trial modes.

Unlockables
- Unlock all of the tracks immediately with the code "OPENROADS." Obtain all of the cars by entering "SHOEBOXES." Get the special green jello car, which wobbles as it drives, with the cheat "BLANCMANGE." Drive as Nicky Grist after you input the code "BACKSEAT."
Special Effects
- Race at night with the password "NIGHTRIDER." Speed up the frame rate with the code "SILKYSMOOTH." Make tracks foggy by using the code "PEASOUPER." Ensure high jumps by activating low gravity with the code "MOONWALK." Race the tracks in reverse by entering "SKCART." Make all of the cars small with the code "DIDDYCARS" and give all the voice actors in the game squeaky voices with the cheat "HELIUMNECK."
Controls
- Increase your acceleration abilities by entering the code "BUTTONBASH." Change to a four-wheel-drive transmission with the password "TROLLEY." Make your steering looser with the code "MAGFLOAT." Enter turbo mode, which features much faster vehicles, by using the cheat "MORE00MPH." Give your car the ability to jump further by inputting "KITCAR."
Bouncy Cars
- You can make all of the racers bouncy by using a cheat during a race. Pause the game and hold down the "L2" and "R2" buttons. Then, press "Circle," "Square," "Square," "Left," "Up" and "Right." When you unpause the game, the effect will begin. The cars will bounce as they move down the track (and off of each other). This fun effect doesn't give you any real advantage, but it's an interesting sight to behold.
