Secret Items in Final Fantasy Tactics

"Final Fantasy: Tactics" is a role-playing strategy game released for the Sony PlayStation in the U.S. in 1998 as part of the "Final Fantasy" series. The "Tactics" series differed from the original "Final Fantasy" on a number of levels, including basic gameplay. This was the first in the series to feature battles on a three-dimensional playing field. There are several secrets and tips, including secret items and weapons to take advantage of.

Make Duplicate Weapons
- Choose a character and equip it with the "Two Swords" skill. Find a shop that sells the item you want duplicated, then pick up a shield with your right hand and the item with your left. Go into the shop and when prompted choose the option "Best Fit" and leave the shop. Navigate to the formation screen and let go of the item. You will now have two of that item.
Obtain the Materia Blade
- Choose a character and equip the "Treasure Hunter" skill. Navigate to Mount Bervenia and find the highest peak to receive Cloud's Materia Blade.
Obtain the Chaos Blade
- Navigate to the Deep Dungeon and locate Level 9. Equip the "Catch" ability and wait for the ninjas to attack. Wait for them to throw a Chaos Blade and catch it. Leave and come back again if they don't throw the blade this time.
Obtain the Holy Lance and Other Character Items
- Complete the "Thief" job and learn how to poach items. Find a demon with the Holy Lance or another character with the item you desire. Poach the item when you get a chance. Typically, you will get a regular item, but sometimes you'll pick up a rare item this way.
