How to Change Ramza Inherent Abilities on Final Fantasy Tactics

In "Final Fantasy Tactics," Ramza starts as a squire. New characters must always begin as a squire or chemist, and increasing proficiency in either job opens new job classes from which they can gain new abilities. Ramza can follow a path like any other standard character in this method, leveling up in job classes, changing job classes, and learning new abilities from them. He also possesses unique squire abilities that no other character can learn.

Instructions

    • 1

Accumulate job points for Ramza as a squire. As Ramza gains levels and job points, purchase his squire skills "Cheer Up," "Wish," and "Yell," in addition to the normal squire abilities -- the names of these skills are "Steel," "Chant," and "Tailwind" in the PSP version. Cheer Up raises the "Brave" of one unit by five, Wish sacrifices some of Ramza's HP and gives twice the sacrificed amount to a target, and Yell raises the speed of a target by one. Learn another skill called "Scream," which raises Ramza's speed, physical attack and magical attack by one, and increases his bravery by 10.

Learn "Ultima," Ramza's final squire ability. Ramza can only learn this spell when an enemy casts the spell on him and he survives the attack while in the squire job. You can learn this ability in the battle with Celia and Lede at Limberry Castle. A few other opportunities come from fighting ultima demons later.

Explore other job classes with Ramza. Ramza can obtain the same jobs as standard characters, picking up skills and abilities from each of them.
