How to Use Namingway in FF9

The Tetra Master mini-game in "Final Fantasy IX" is a collectible card game within the game itself. Of all the Tetra Master cards, the Namingway card is one of the rarest and most difficult cards to obtain in the game. You must either find the card in Kuja's room in the Desert Palace or win it in the second round of the Treno Card Tournament using Vivi. If you win the Namingway card in the Treno Card Tournament, the card will have the secondary function of renaming a member of your party.

Instructions

     Travel to the Daguerreo library via the airship, and enter the library.

     Look for the Guy Doing Research. He is on the second floor, near some bookshelves.

   • 3

     Talk to the Guy Doing Research to show him the Namingway card. He will give you the option to rename one of the characters in your party.

   • 4

     Select the character with your cursor, and press the "X" button to confirm the selection.

   • 5

     Enter the name you want to give the character, and press "X" to confirm it.
