Things You'll Need
Instructions
Register a new email address. The email address must be different than the one originally provided under your PlayStation Network account, and it must be valid. If you do not have an alternate email address, set one up first.
Change the primary email address on your account so the PlayStation Network recognizes your second email address as the preferred address.
Set up your password. The password protects your log-in and account information, which contains sensitive and personal data about you. Select a security question for which you can remember the answer if you ever forget your password or log-in information.
Create your new PlayStation network nickname or profile ID. Make your nickname between three and 16 characters long. You may use a combination of letters, numbers, hyphens (-) and underscores (_). Make the first character of your nickname a letter, and keep in mind the letters are not case sensitive.
Check to see if your desired nickname is available. If you type in a nickname or ID that is already in use by another PS user, you will be asked to create a different nickname, since the network cannot have two users with the same nickname.
