How to Remove Cursed Items in Dragon Quest IV

"Dragon Quest IV" is a fantasy role-playing game for the PlayStation. Over the course of the player's adventure, he'll collect dozens of pieces of armor and weapons. He can equip these items to his characters, giving them bonuses to their attack and defense. However, some items are cursed. Although they might provide strong bonuses, these items also have negative side effects, such as confusing the character or lowering another stat. The player cannot unequip cursed items as they would normal items. Instead, the character must visit a church, where they will remove the item for a fee based on the strength of the curse.

     Go to a town. Almost every town has a church where you can save the game, revive fallen comrades and get an estimate about how long it will be until you gain another level.

     Enter the church and speak with the priest.

   • 3

     Select "Remove Curse" and then choose the party member with the cursed item. Select the cursed item you want to remove. The priest will quote you a price.

   • 4

     Agree to pay for the service. The item is now unequipped and you can find it in your inventory.
