Sunny Beach: Easier Route
It's possible to pass the Sunny Beach level without having to push the turtles around. When you get to the second turtle that you have to push on the circle, leave it alone and go to the ladder instead. Climb this ladder and then glide to the opposite ledge. Now look for the ledge with a man and a turtle box; glide over to this area. Start walking across the bridge but stop at the halfway point and jump off the left side. Look right to see the baby turtles behind the gate, meaning you can finish the level without having to worry about them.
Secret Speedway
Head left when you emerge from the narrow hallway that leads from the portals in Winter Tundra. Get inside the whirlwind and fly over to the tower. Once you arrive, turn around and look at the whirlwind that just dropped you off. Jump and glide in this direction until you land on a side wall. Jump into the waterfall and you emerge in a cave that contains a secret speedway, which is a racing minigame.
Game Tips
If you can't find any gems, then there is trick to getting a helping hand. Press and hold the top four buttons, "L2," "R2," "L1," "and "R1," at the same time and Sparx will direct you to the nearest gem. There is also a way to increase your lives by eating butterflies. Gobble ten of the flying insects for one extra life.
Codes
Pause the game before you enter any of the codes in this section. Input "Circle, Circle, Circle, Circle, Square" to unlock all of the abilities in the game; you normally have to earn these. For the sheer fun of it, enter "Up, Up, Up, Up, R1, R1, R1, R1, Circle" and watch as Spyro's head grows larger. Purple is very much Spyro's color, but to give him a new yellow-skinned look, input "R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Up." Enter "R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Triangle" to turn Spyro green.
