Go to North Corel. Using the world map as a reference, North Corel can be found in the second continent from the left, in the northern area.
Enter North Corel and go to the bottom left corner of the area. You will see a sign labeled "Gold Saucer."
Continue on to the left. The next area contains a cable car. Enter it and it will take you to the entrance of Gold Saucer. Once there, talk to the person near the welcome sign and purchase a pass to enter. A single pass is worth 3,000 gil and will only be valid until you exit Gold Saucer. The lifetime pass, worth 30,000 gil, allows you to go back to Gold Saucer as many times as you want.
Go through the entrance to the next area. Here, you will find seven passageways that will take you to the different areas of Gold Saucer.
Take the third passageway from the right labeled Battle Square. In the next area, you will see a flight of stairs leading to what looks like a fortress. Climb the stairs and pass through the entrance of the fortress.
Approach the lady in the behind the counter in the next area. She can be found in the upper right corner of the room.
Decide which among your characters will take part in the battle. Choose the strongest one and equip him with the best equipment and materia.
Talk to the lady. She will ask if you want to register for battle. Pick the option, "Let's do it." Taking part in the battle will cost you 10 gold points.
Fight in the battle arena and defeat all your enemies. There are a total of eight rounds to finish. After each round, a slot machine appears, the result of which determines the type of handicap your character will receive in the next battle. Handicaps include status effects such as frog and poison, disabling the use of materia, armor, weapons and items, halving hit points, magic points and speed, inflicting damage on your character and lowering your level. If you are lucky, you go to the next round without a handicap or even have your character's hit points restored.
Upon finishing the round, you will earn a number of battle points depending on the handicaps inflicted on your character. Handicaps that disable the use of your equipment will give you more battle points while being cured or going to the next round without a handicap won't get you much. Battle points are needed to get Omnislash, though the amount needed changes depending on what part of the game you're in. The first time you enter the Golden Saucer, it will cost 51,200 battle points but later on in the game, it lowers to 32,00 battle points.
Go to the computer terminal at the lower left corner of the room once you have enough battle points. Here, you can use battle points to purchase prizes. Scroll through the options until you come across Omnislash and buy it.
Go to your item menu and look for the item, Omnislash. Use the item on Cloud. Cloud now has the limit break, Omnislash.
