Turtle Woods Gem Cheats for Crash Bandicoot

Level Outline

• Turtle Woods is the first level in "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back" on the Sony PlayStation. The warp room shows the level title with carved-out symbols showing what the level contains. Collect a blue gem, a crystal and a clear gem to complete the level.

Blue Gem

• Enter the level by jumping into the vortex. Walk forward and the stone doors will open to start the level. To earn the blue gem you must complete the whole level without opening a single box or losing a life. Once you have collected the blue gem at the end of the level, either return to the warp room or sacrifice one life to return to the start of the level.

Clear Gem

• The clear gem is awarded for opening all boxes in a level, but Turtle Woods has a secret area containing boxes. From the start, progress until you reach a tribal face on the ground; this is hiding the secret level. To access it, you need to body slam by pressing "X" and then "O" while in midair. Break all the boxes in the secret area and jump on the platform at the end, which will transport you back to where you entered the area. Continue forward breaking all boxes, collecting the crystal and completing the bonus level, which is through a trapdoor marked with a "?."

Exiting the Level

• Finish the rest of the level and pass through the stone doors. Collect any gems and walk through the tunnel until you reach another platform. Jump on this to return to the warp room. Crash Bandicoot will throw the items in the air that you have collected, which will fill the carved-out symbols. Save your game by walking into the "Save Game" window and following the on-screen instructions.
