Final Fantasy VIII: How to Get Aura

Final Fantasy VIII is available for the original PlayStation console, the PC and on the PlayStation 3 network. All versions of the game are basically identical. In all versions, Aura is one of the most valuable spells in the game. Aura increases the likelihood your characters will reach limit break status and unleash a special, deadly attack. This spell is essential to beat the game's hardest side-quest bosses like Omega Weapon.

Instructions

  Draw Aura from various draw points you'll reach during your quest. Aura draw points are found near the festival stage in Trabia Garden, next to the Galbadia Garden main entrance, in the Ultemecia's castle wine cellar and along the coast of Long Horn Island.

  Go to the island closest to Heaven and the island closest to Hell. The islands are located on the far north-east and west sides of the map respectively. Walking around these islands and drawing spells from the hidden draw points gives you some of the most powerful spells in the game, including Aura. Three Aura draw points are found on the island closest to Heaven, and five on Hell. Be careful exploring, as the strongest monsters in the game wander these islands.

  When you fight Seifer for the final time on Disc 3, draw the Aura spell from him.

  Refine Aura Stones and Fury Fragments into Aura spells. You need to have the Guardian Force Leviathan leveled until it has the "Supt Mag-RF" ability. If you refine an Aura Stone, you get one Aura spell in return. If you refine a Fury Fragment, you gain 5 Auras.
