"Bust a Groove 2" is a dancing simulation game, available for the Sony PlayStation, in which players must press buttons to the rhythm of a song to defeat other dancers and become the best dancer in the world. A number of secrets and unlockables in the game can serve to enhance your game-play experience.

Alternative Costumes
- If you choose a character with the "Circle" button instead of the "X" button, you will be able to play as the same character, but with an alternative costume. These alternative costumes are generally the same as the original costume, but with a different color palette.
Character Unlockables
- Beat the game with certain characters to unlock other characters. Beat the game with Hiro to unlock McLoad and Hustle Kong. Use Shorty to win and unlock Columbo. Unlock ChiChi and Sally by completing the game successfully as Capoeira. Win with Hustle Kong to unlock Michael Doi. Beat the game using Heat to unlock Robo-Z Gold and Sushi Boy.
Special Unlockables
- If you complete a level with few mistakes, you will be able to participate in a solo show known as "Fever Time." If you can get this show on every level in the game, you will unlock a special bonus level after you complete the game. Complete the bonus level with Robo-Z Gold to unlock the Pander character.
Level Skip
- Once you beat the game with every character, you can skip any level you want by pressing "L2" and "Start" simultaneously during a level. By doing so, you can reach the end of the game without having to play at all.
