How to Change the Name in Armored Core

"Armored Core" was released for the PlayStation 1 in 1997. Developed by From Software and published by Sony, "Armored Core" is a game putting you in control of a giant robot called an armored core. Every part of your armored core may be customized, including its weapons, color and name. In addition to naming your armored core, you can also name your pilot by using a hidden code.

Instructions

Change Armored Core Name

  Select "Garage" from the main menu.

  Select "AC Name Entry."

  Input the name for your armored core using the PlayStation controller.

  Select "End" to save the name of your armored core.
Change Pilot Name

  Select "Garage" from the main menu.

  Highlight "AC Name Entry" but do not select it.

  Hold the "L2," "R2" and "Right" buttons on your PlayStation controller.

  Quickly press and hold "X" followed by "Square" on the PlayStation controller. If performed correctly, you will be able to change the pilot name instead of your armored core name.

  Input your pilot name. Select "End" to save the name.

PlayStation
