How to Get Upstairs in the Police Station on Resident Evil 2

"Resident Evil 2" is a survival-horror game that was released for the PlayStation in 1998. Players assume the role of either Leon S. Kennedy or Claire Redfeild as they navigate through a zombie-infested place called Raccoon City. During the beginning of the game, Leon and Claire end up at a police department, where they must collect items and clues regarding the zombie outbreak. Reaching the second floor of the police department requires a card key, which must be obtained from the dying police officer near the entrance.

Instructions

  Enter the Raccoon City Police Department and go through the second door on the left side.

  Wait for the cut scene to end. The dying cop from the cut scene gives you a card key and locks you out of the room.

  Go the computer in the center of the room and select "Yes" when asked if you want to use it. Select "Yes" again when asked if you would like to use the card key. Two doors on the left and right of the entrance unlock.

  Go through the door on the left side, closest to the entrance.

  Run behind the large dresser and go through the door next to it.

  Run all the way down the hall and enter the door at the very end. You will encounter a "Licker" monster that you can either defeat or run past.

  Run all the way down the next hall and enter the door at the end.

  Avoid the zombies and turn left. Take the staircase to the second floor of the police department.
