How to Create Your Own Virtual Avatar on X-Men: Mutant Academy

"X-Men Mutant Academy" was released for the PlayStation in 2000. Choose from six X-Men and four Brotherhood characters to create your own virtual avatar that will represent you as you battle through Story, Academy, Survival and Versus modes. Selecting a character is the same no matter which mode you choose. By default, the four Brotherhood characters must be unlocked to be used.

  Select a game mode from the main menu.

  Select a character and press "X" on your controller to choose it.

  Press "Left" or "Right" on your controller to select a costume. Press "X" on the costume you have selected and the game mode will load.

  Unlock the Brotherhood characters by completing Arcade mode. For your first completion, you will unlock Toad, followed by Mystique, Sabretooth and finally Magneto on your fourth playthrough. A different character must be used in each Arcade mode playthrough to unlock a new character.
